يستضيف مجلس العجب عرضًا موسيقيًا خاصًا تقدّمه جوقة أمواج، يتضمن مؤلفات أصلية من تأليف إيف بالمر خلال إقامته الفنية في فلسطين بين شهري كانون الأول/ديسمبر وكانون الثاني/يناير. يدعو الحدث الجمهور إلى التفاعل مع برنامج موسيقي تطوّر عبر ورشات عمل تعاونية مع جوقة أمواج، مستندًا إلى الشعر الفلسطيني، والكتابة الكورالية المعاصرة، وتقاليد الموسيقى العربية القديمة والحديثة.
يتضمن البرنامج مختارات من عمل Pollens – Musiques d’exil (٢٠٢٤، نص مارك فغوادفون)، والعمل الجديد Il y a tellement de fantômes (٢٠٢٥، نص كريم قطّان)، إلى جانب مقطوعات كورالية طُوّرت مع المؤدين الشباب خلال فترة الإقامة.
إيف بالمر مؤلف موسيقي فرنسي–سويسري، تتنقّل أعماله بين الموسيقى الكورالية، وموسيقى الحجرة، والكتابة الأوركسترالية. وهو حائز على جائزة كاييا سارياهو الدولية للتأليف الموسيقي (٢٠٢٣)، وقد قُدّمت أعماله في مهرجانات وقاعات أوروبية مرموقة. تخرّج في الكونسرفتوار الوطني العالي للموسيقى في باريس، ويجمع بين التأليف والبحث الموسيقي. نالت أعماله المسجّلة، ومنها Poétiques de l’instant، إشادة نقدية واسعة، وتُعمّق مؤلفاته الأخيرة لجوقة أمواج انخراطه في الشعر الفلسطيني والإبداع الموسيقي الجماعي.
أمواج هي مدرسة وجوقة موسيقية لها فرعان في الخليل وبيت لحم، إضافة إلى كونها جوقة أداء تركّز على التبادل الوطني والدولي. كما تمثّل مشروعًا اجتماعيًا يتيح للمغنين الشباب الالتحاق بالدروس الأسبوعية والأنشطة اللامنهجية مجانًا.
The Wonder Cabinet will host a special presentation by the Amwaj Choir, featuring original compositions by Yves Balmer during his December–January artistic residency in Palestine. The event engages the audience around a musical repertoire developed through collaborative workshops with Amwaj, drawing on Palestinian poetry, contemporary choral writing, and traditional and modern Arabic music.
The program includes selections from Pollens – Musiques d’exil (2024, text by Marik Froidefond) and the new composition Il y a tellement de fantômes (2025, text by Karim Kattan), alongside choral pieces developed with the young performers during the residency.
Yves Balmer is a Franco-Swiss composer whose music moves between choral work, chamber pieces, and orchestral writing. A laureate of the Kaija Saariaho International Composition Prize (2023), his works are performed in major European festivals and venues. Trained at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, he combines creation with research, and his discography—including Poétiques de l’instant—has been critically acclaimed. His recent compositions for Amwaj deepen his engagement with Palestinian poetry and collective musical creation.
Amwaj is both a choir school with two branches (in Hebron and Bethlehem) and a performing choir that focuses on national and international exchanges. It is also a social project, where the young singers attend all weekly classes and extra-curricular activities free of charge.

يحلّ فضاء باروناتو كواترو بيلِتسي من مشهد روما الفني تحت الأرض في بيت لحم، مقدّمًا عرضًا تجريبيًا قائمًا على الارتجال في مجلس العجب، بمشاركة إبراهيم عويص, لين عزام, وضيوف مدعوين.
باروناتو كواترو بيلِتسي هو مفهوم متنقّل وكائن حيّ يتشكّل ويتحوّل بحسب المكان، من خلال عروض مخصّصة للسياق الذي يحلّ فيه. وقد أُعيد تخيّل أجوائه الفريدة في مهرجان تيرافورما (فيلا أركوناتي)، ومهرجان روبوت (قصر ري إنزو، بولونيا)، وفي ميلانو خلال MiArt عامي ٢٠٢٣ و٢٠٢٥ بالتعاون مع دار نيرو للنشر، وكذلك في البندقية خلال عطلة افتتاح بينالي البندقية ٢٠٢٤.
The Roman underground space Baronato Quattro Bellezze comes to Bethlehem with an experimental performance and improvisation at the Wonder Cabinet, joined by Ibrahim Owais, Lynne Azzam, and invited guests. Baronato Quattro Bellezze is a nomadic concept, a living organism that travels and adapts through site-specific performances. Its timeless atmosphere has been reimagined at Terraforma Festival (Villa Arconati), ROBOT Festival (Palazzo Re Enzo, Bologna), in Milano during MiArt 2023 & 2025 together with NERO Editions, and in Venice during the opening weekend of the Venice Biennale 2024.
