يستضيف مجلس العجب عرضًا موسيقيًا خاصًا تقدّمه جوقة أمواج، يتضمن مؤلفات أصلية من تأليف إيف بالمر خلال إقامته الفنية في فلسطين بين شهري كانون الأول/ديسمبر وكانون الثاني/يناير. يدعو الحدث الجمهور إلى التفاعل مع برنامج موسيقي تطوّر عبر ورشات عمل تعاونية مع جوقة أمواج، مستندًا إلى الشعر الفلسطيني، والكتابة الكورالية المعاصرة، وتقاليد الموسيقى العربية القديمة والحديثة.
يتضمن البرنامج مختارات من عمل Pollens – Musiques d’exil (٢٠٢٤، نص مارك فغوادفون)، والعمل الجديد Il y a tellement de fantômes (٢٠٢٥، نص كريم قطّان)، إلى جانب مقطوعات كورالية طُوّرت مع المؤدين الشباب خلال فترة الإقامة.
إيف بالمر مؤلف موسيقي فرنسي–سويسري، تتنقّل أعماله بين الموسيقى الكورالية، وموسيقى الحجرة، والكتابة الأوركسترالية. وهو حائز على جائزة كاييا سارياهو الدولية للتأليف الموسيقي (٢٠٢٣)، وقد قُدّمت أعماله في مهرجانات وقاعات أوروبية مرموقة. تخرّج في الكونسرفتوار الوطني العالي للموسيقى في باريس، ويجمع بين التأليف والبحث الموسيقي. نالت أعماله المسجّلة، ومنها Poétiques de l’instant، إشادة نقدية واسعة، وتُعمّق مؤلفاته الأخيرة لجوقة أمواج انخراطه في الشعر الفلسطيني والإبداع الموسيقي الجماعي.
أمواج هي مدرسة وجوقة موسيقية لها فرعان في الخليل وبيت لحم، إضافة إلى كونها جوقة أداء تركّز على التبادل الوطني والدولي. كما تمثّل مشروعًا اجتماعيًا يتيح للمغنين الشباب الالتحاق بالدروس الأسبوعية والأنشطة اللامنهجية مجانًا.
The Wonder Cabinet will host a special presentation by the Amwaj Choir, featuring original compositions by Yves Balmer during his December–January artistic residency in Palestine. The event engages the audience around a musical repertoire developed through collaborative workshops with Amwaj, drawing on Palestinian poetry, contemporary choral writing, and traditional and modern Arabic music.
The program includes selections from Pollens – Musiques d’exil (2024, text by Marik Froidefond) and the new composition Il y a tellement de fantômes (2025, text by Karim Kattan), alongside choral pieces developed with the young performers during the residency.
Yves Balmer is a Franco-Swiss composer whose music moves between choral work, chamber pieces, and orchestral writing. A laureate of the Kaija Saariaho International Composition Prize (2023), his works are performed in major European festivals and venues. Trained at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, he combines creation with research, and his discography—including Poétiques de l’instant—has been critically acclaimed. His recent compositions for Amwaj deepen his engagement with Palestinian poetry and collective musical creation.
Amwaj is both a choir school with two branches (in Hebron and Bethlehem) and a performing choir that focuses on national and international exchanges. It is also a social project, where the young singers attend all weekly classes and extra-curricular activities free of charge.

باروناتو كواترو بيلِتسي هو مفهوم متنقّل وكائن حيّ يتشكّل ويتحوّل بحسب المكان، من خلال عروض مخصّصة للسياق الذي يحلّ فيه. وقد أُعيد تخيّل أجوائه الفريدة في مهرجان تيرافورما (فيلا أركوناتي)، ومهرجان روبوت (قصر ري إنزو، بولونيا)، وفي ميلانو خلال MiArt عامي ٢٠٢٣ و٢٠٢٥ بالتعاون مع دار نيرو للنشر، وكذلك في البندقية خلال عطلة افتتاح بينالي البندقية ٢٠٢٤.
The Roman underground space Baronato Quattro Bellezze comes to Bethlehem with an experimental performance and improvisation at the Wonder Cabinet, joined by Ibrahim Owais, Lynne Azzam, and invited guests. Baronato Quattro Bellezze is a nomadic concept, a living organism that travels and adapts through site-specific performances. Its timeless atmosphere has been reimagined at Terraforma Festival (Villa Arconati), ROBOT Festival (Palazzo Re Enzo, Bologna), in Milano during MiArt 2023 & 2025 together with NERO Editions, and in Venice during the opening weekend of the Venice Biennale 2024.

ينشغل كراتير إنفيرتيدو بأرشيفات ١٨ أيار، وهي ذاكرة حيّة للانتفاضة الاجتماعية في غوانغجو، إحدى المحطات المفصلية في مقاومة ديكتاتورية تشون دو-هوان في ثمانينيات القرن الماضي، والتي قُمعت بعنف بدعم من التدخل العسكري الأميركي. لا يسعى العمل إلى إظهار هذا الحدث التاريخي فحسب، بل إلى خلق أصداء تربط بين الواقعين الاجتماعي والسياسي في غوانغجو والمكسيك، متتبعًا تقاطعات وتجارب مشتركة في النضال والقمع والمقاومة. ومن خلال بناء متخيَّل خاص، جرى تجسيد مجموعة من الشخصيات التي تقود سردية حالِمة ونقدية في آن، مرِحة وشبحية، تتحاور مع تاريخ هذه الأراضي وسياقاتها.
تعاونية كراتير إنفيرتيدو (المكسيك، منذ ٢٠١١) هي فضاء لتقاطع الممارسات الفنية مع العمليات الجماعية، بهدف إنتاج مخيّلات مشتركة. تدير التعاونية بشكل ذاتي بيت-ورشة متعددة التخصصات في مدينة مكسيكو، تضم مطبعة ريزوغراف ومحطة إذاعية تجريبية، إلى جانب أدوات أخرى للحوار واللقاءات والنشر الذاتي. كما تتغذى الجماعة من مسارات لامركزية متعددة مرتبطة بالأراضي، والتنوّع الحيوي، والتعلّم المشترك، والرعاية، وبناء المشترك.
Cráter Invertido engages with the May 18 Archives, a living memory of the Gwangju social uprising— a key event in the resistance against Chun Doo-hwan’s dictatorship during the 1980s, whose brutal suppression was backed by U.S. military intervention. The work not only seeks to make this historical event visible, but also to establish resonances between the sociopolitical realities of Gwangju and Mexico, tracing parallels between two contexts of struggle, repression, and resistance. To this end, we constructed an imaginary that led to the materialization of a series of characters tasked with guiding a narrative that is at once oneiric, critical, playful, and spectral, and that dialogues with the history of these territories.
COOPERATIVA CRÁTER INVERTIDO (Mexico, since 2011) is a space for the intersection of artistic practices and collective processes aimed at creating common imaginaries. We self-manage a multidisciplinary house-workshop in Mexico City, home to a risographic printing press and an experimental radio station, among other tools for dialogue, encounters, and self-publishing. The collective is also nurtured by a variety of decentralized processes related to territories, biodiversity, shared learning, care and commonalities.

Tamir Persekian, also known for his stage persona “Brzkh”, is a Palestinian composer and jazz musician recognized for his piano and vibraphone performances. Studying jazz in Southern California where he is currently based, launched his musical career through several projects and collaborations with different artists such as RIVA, Nebula & the Cosmos. As the founder of the Arabic jazz fusion ensemble, Al Akhbar, Tamir continues to push the boundaries of jazz, infusing his performances with creativity and originality.
Tamir will be joined by Naser Raed, Ezzat Qupty, Shadi Awidat, and Jude.

مروة ياسين هي عازفة بيانو فلسطينية، تدرس حاليًا البيانو الكلاسيكي في إيطاليا. شاركت في مشاريع موسيقية متنوّعة تمتد بين الموسيقى الكلاسيكية والشرقية والتجارب متعددة الثقافات.
بالنسبة لها، يشكّل التأليف الموسيقي والارتجال وسيلة للتعبير والاستكشاف، سواء لواقع الحياة بكل ما يحمله من تعقيد، أو لعوالمها الداخلية ورحلتها الشخصية.
في ظل التحوّلات الجماعية المؤلمة والفوضوية التي يعيشها العالم اليوم، ترى مروة، كفنانة وموسيقية من فلسطين، أن الموسيقى ليست خيارًا فرديًا فحسب، بل مسؤولية وأداة للتغيير، وللتضامن، وللتعبير عن الحزن الجماعي والسعي نحو التحرّر.
Marwa Yassin is a Palestinian Pianist, currently studying Classical Piano in Italy. She has been participating in different musical projects, from Classical to Eastern to Multicultural Music.
Composing and Improvising for her is a way to express, explore, whether the reality of our life with all its complexity, or the imagination of the inside world and her personal journey.
The collective change everyone is going through today is painful and chaotic, and as a musician and artist from Palestine, she feels that music is not only a personal choice, but it is a duty, a tool for change, for solidarity, and for collective grief and liberation.

ماي ماي ماي يعود بألبومه الجديد ”𝙆𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙠𝙤𝙯“، الذي سُجل معظمه في فلسطين عام 2024 ويأتي بعد ألبومه المزدوج ”Rimorso“ الذي نال استحسانًا كبيرًا. يفتح الألبوم فصلاً جديداً للفنان المقيم في روما، وهو ألبوم شخصي للغاية حيث يتدفق مزيجه الصناعي التقليدي إلى دوامة من الترانيم الروحية والهاونتولوجيا المتوسطية وأناشيد الحزن الشرق أوسطية، حاملاً يأس شعب منهك ومطابقاً الأمل القتالي بأصداء النعيم المحيط.
تم تسجيل الألبوم خلال إقامته الفنية بالتعاون مع راديو الحارة و مجلس العجب، وهو نتيجة إقامة غامرة استمرت ستة أسابيع بين يناير ومايو 2024، في بيت لحم ورام الله، حيث تعمق ماي ماي ماي في الموسيقى التقليدية الفلسطينية، والتقى وتعاون مع موسيقيين محليين، واستكشف أرشيف الصوت الفلسطيني، وسجل أصداء الأرض.
𝗠𝗮𝗶 𝗠𝗮𝗶 𝗠𝗮𝗶 returns with his new album ‘𝙆𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙠𝙤𝙯’, mostly recorded in Palestine in 2024 and follows his acclaimed Southern Gothic double-album ‘Rimorso’. The album opens a new chapter for the Roma based artist, a deeply personal record where his traditional industrial miasma flows into a weeping vortex of spiritual hymns, Mediterranean hauntology and Middle Eastern chants of sorrow, carrying the despair of a battered population and matching the fighting hope with echoes of ambient bliss.
Recorded during his artistic residency in collaboration with @radioalhara and @wonder.cabinet, the album is the result of an immersive six-week residency between January and May 2024, in Bethlehem and Ramallah, where MAI MAI MAI delved deep into the traditional music of Palestine, meeting and collaborating with local musicians, exploring the Palestinian Sound Archive, and recording the resonances of the land.

تعاونية كراتير إنفيرتيدو (المكسيك، منذ ٢٠١١) هي فضاء لتقاطع الممارسات الفنية مع العمليات الجماعية، بهدف إنتاج مخيّلات مشتركة. تدير التعاونية بشكل ذاتي بيت-ورشة متعددة التخصصات في مدينة مكسيكو، تضم مطبعة ريزوغراف ومحطة إذاعية تجريبية، إلى جانب أدوات أخرى للحوار واللقاءات والنشر الذاتي. كما تتغذى الجماعة من مسارات لامركزية متعددة مرتبطة بالأراضي، والتنوّع الحيوي، والتعلّم المشترك، والرعاية، وبناء المشترك.

Tamir Persekian, also known for his stage persona “Brzkh”, is a Palestinian composer and jazz musician recognized for his piano and vibraphone performances. Studying jazz in Southern California where he is currently based, launched his musical career through several projects and collaborations with different artists such as RIVA, Nebula & the Cosmos. As the founder of the Arabic jazz fusion ensemble, Al Akhbar, Tamir continues to push the boundaries of jazz, infusing his performances with creativity and originality.
Tamir will be joined by Naser Raed, Ezzat Qupty, Shadi Awidat, and Jude.

Piano Concert
Marwa Yassin is a Palestinian Pianist, currently studying Classical Piano in Italy. She has been participating in different musical projects, from Classical to Eastern to Multicultural Music.
Composing and Improvising for her is a way to express, explore, whether the reality of our life with all its complexity, or the imagination of the inside world and her personal journey.
The collective change everyone is going through today is painful and chaotic, and as a musician and artist from Palestine, she feels that music is not only a personal choice, but it is a duty, a tool for change, for solidarity, and for collective grief and liberation.

مروة ياسين هي عازفة بيانو فلسطينية، تدرس حاليًا البيانو الكلاسيكي في إيطاليا. شاركت في مشاريع موسيقية متنوّعة تمتد بين الموسيقى الكلاسيكية والشرقية والتجارب متعددة الثقافات.
بالنسبة لها، يشكّل التأليف الموسيقي والارتجال وسيلة للتعبير والاستكشاف، سواء لواقع الحياة بكل ما يحمله من تعقيد، أو لعوالمها الداخلية ورحلتها الشخصية.
في ظل التحوّلات الجماعية المؤلمة والفوضوية التي يعيشها العالم اليوم، ترى مروة، كفنانة وموسيقية من فلسطين، أن الموسيقى ليست خيارًا فرديًا فحسب، بل مسؤولية وأداة للتغيير، وللتضامن، وللتعبير عن الحزن الجماعي والسعي نحو التحرّر.

MAI MAI MAI Live Performance
𝗠𝗮𝗶 𝗠𝗮𝗶 𝗠𝗮𝗶 returns with his new album ‘𝙆𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙠𝙤𝙯’, mostly recorded in Palestine in 2024 and follows his acclaimed Southern Gothic double-album ‘Rimorso’. The album opens a new chapter for the Roma based artist, a deeply personal record where his traditional industrial miasma flows into a weeping vortex of spiritual hymns, Mediterranean hauntology and Middle Eastern chants of sorrow, carrying the despair of a battered population and matching the fighting hope with echoes of ambient bliss.
Recorded during his artistic residency in collaboration with @radioalhara and @wonder.cabinet, the album is the result of an immersive six-week residency between January and May 2024, in Bethlehem and Ramallah, where MAI MAI MAI delved deep into the traditional music of Palestine, meeting and collaborating with local musicians, exploring the Palestinian Sound Archive, and recording the resonances of the land.

ماي ماي ماي يعود بألبومه الجديد ”𝙆𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙠𝙤𝙯“، الذي سُجل معظمه في فلسطين عام 2024 ويأتي بعد ألبومه المزدوج ”Rimorso“ الذي نال استحسانًا كبيرًا. يفتح الألبوم فصلاً جديداً للفنان المقيم في روما، وهو ألبوم شخصي للغاية حيث يتدفق مزيجه الصناعي التقليدي إلى دوامة من الترانيم الروحية والهاونتولوجيا المتوسطية وأناشيد الحزن الشرق أوسطية، حاملاً يأس شعب منهك ومطابقاً الأمل القتالي بأصداء النعيم المحيط.
تم تسجيل الألبوم خلال إقامته الفنية بالتعاون مع راديو الحارة و مجلس العجب، وهو نتيجة إقامة غامرة استمرت ستة أسابيع بين يناير ومايو 2024، في بيت لحم ورام الله، حيث تعمق ماي ماي ماي في الموسيقى التقليدية الفلسطينية، والتقى وتعاون مع موسيقيين محليين، واستكشف أرشيف الصوت الفلسطيني، وسجل أصداء الأرض.

Sound Documentary Night – Whispered Stories by Power Group
PowerGroup, Bethlehem, presents “Sound Documentary Night – Whispered Stories” featuring three audio documentaries produced within the International Sound Documentary Program organized by Louis Lumière National School (France) and conducted in coordination with the French Consulate in Jerusalem.
After the screenings, a discussion will follow with the filmmakers (in person & online).
