لجنة نقاش: بناء بيداغوجيات التحرر مع ليوبولد لامبير وأحمد الاقرع و بكرية مواسي

لا تُختزل العمارة لدى "ذا فونامبولِست" في تصميمِ منحوتاتٍ قابلةٍ للسكن، بل تُفهم بوصفها ممارسةً تنظّم الأجساد في الفضاء. ومن هذا المنظور، تقترح المجلة تأمّلًا نقديًّا في ممارسات التضامن التي نتشاركها.

إنّ "النحن" الممتدّة عبر آلاف الصفحات المنشورة حتى الآن تُشكّل، في آنٍ واحد، تعبيرًا عن متخيّلاتٍ سياسية تدفع حركتنا نحو مستقبلاتٍ متحرّرة، وتذكيرًا بالمخاطر الكامنة في تعميم تجارب المجموعات المُهمَّشة والمستعمَرة على نحوٍ يجرّدها من سياقاتها ويُضعف خصوصيّة نضالاتها.

وفي مواجهة أنظمة القمع، تبرز الحاجة الملحّة إلى مساءلة ذواتنا: كيف نُعطي الأولوية لبعض النضالات دون غيرها؟ وكيف تصبح تضامناتنا مشروطة، ومن يرسم حدود المقبولية لمطالبنا؟ وأيّ أشكال من العنف نُسهم فيها حين نتغاضى عن النقاط العمياء في ممارسات تضامننا؟ ولماذا نُهمِّش بعض النضالات ضمن المواجهة العالمية مع الإمبريالية؟ وكيف تُستَخدم علاقات التبادلية والظهور والمركزيّة لإخفاء نقائص تضامناتنا؟

على مدار أسبوع، يفتح مجلس العجب مساحته لاستضافة الرحلة الممتدة لعقدٍ من الزمن لـ"ذا فونامبولِست"، جامعًا هذه الأسئلة ضمن معرض يضمّ غرفة قراءة تتيح الاطلاع على جميع أعداد المجلة، وكابينة استماع تضمّ مجموعة مختارة من حلقات البودكاست، وورشة عمل حول النشر المستقل، ونقاشًا حول بناء بيداغوجيات التحرير.

The Funambulist does not understand architecture as an authored design of inhabitable sculptures, but rather as a discipline that organizes bodies in space. And it is through this framework that the magazine proposes an introspection of our shared solidarity practices.

The “We” mobilized across thousands of pages of the issues published so far is at once an articulation of political imaginaries that shape our movement towards liberated futures as well as a reminder of the risks posed by universalizing the minoritized and colonized experience in a way that decontextualizes, displaces, and dilutes the specificities of their struggles.

As we confront our oppressors, it is urgent to ask ourselves how we prioritize certain struggles over others; how our solidarities are conditional and who demarcates the limits of respectability of our demands; what forms of violence we participate in by not engaging with the blind spots of our solidarity practices; why we dismiss and diminish certain struggles from the global fight against imperialism; and why are relationalities of reciprocity, visibility, and centrality weaponized to conceal the imperfections of our solidarities.

Over the course of a week, The Wonder Cabinet opens its space to the decade-long journey of The Funambulist and gathers these questions in the form of an exhibition, featuring a reading room to access all issues of the magazine, a listening booth with a curated selection of podcast episodes, a workshop on independent publishing, and a discussion on creating our liberation pedagogies.
