يُعدّ هذا الفيلم الجزء الثاني من "ثلاثية الصحراء" لناصر خمير. تدور أحداث القصة حول حسن، الذي يدرس فن الخط العربي على يد أستاذ كبير. وإذ يعثر على شذرة من مخطوطة قديمة، ينطلق حسن في رحلة بحث عن أجزائها المفقودة، مؤمناً بأنه إن وجدها سيتعلم أسرار الحب. وبمساعدة زين، الوسيط بين العشاق، يلتقي بالأميرة الجميلة عزيز، أميرة سمرقند. وبعد أن يخوض الحروب، ويشهد صراعاً بين أنبياء كذبة، ولعنة قديمة، يدرك أن عمراً بأكمله لن يكفيه ليتعلم أبعاد الحب المتعددة.

ناصر خمير فنان تونسي متعدد المجالات، يعمل في السينما والرسم والنحت والكتابة، واشتهر ببناء جسور التواصل بين الشرق والغرب. ومنذ باكورة أعماله عام ١٩٧٥ أخرج أفلاماً حظيت بتقدير واسع، من بينها "الهائمون في الصحراء" (١٩٨٤)، و"طوق الحمامة المفقود" (١٩٩١)، و"بابا عزيز" (٢٠٠٥)، حاصداً جوائز من البندقية إلى قرطاج، إلى جانب تأليفه اثني عشر كتاباً يستكشف فيها الأسطورة كعدسة لقراءة الحاضر والمستقبل.

يُقام عرض فيلم "طوق الحمامة المفقود" ضمن البرنامج المصاحب لمعرض "هسهسة الرثاء: مدونات عن الحزن"، المقام في مجلس العجب حتى ١٢ تموز. بتداول من قبل مؤسسة عبد المحسن القطان، المعرض يجمع فنانين وفنانات في الخط والحروفية من أنحاء العالم العربي، يمنحون أشكالاً بصرية لأبيات من الشعر العربي الحديث والمعاصر التي تتناول الحزن، مستكشفين قدرة الحرف العربي على حمل الثقل العاطفي والفلسفي للفقد.

يتقاطع فيلم ناصر خمير مع هذه الموضوعات بعمق، إذ تنطلق رحلة حسن من الخط العربي ذاته، من شذرة مخطوطة تقوده في بحث عن أجزائها المفقودة إيماناً منه بأنها ستكشف له أسرار الحب، وكما يفعل فنانو المعرض، يتعامل خمير مع الحرف العربي لا بوصفه وعاءً للغة فحسب، بل كائناً حياً وباحثاً قادراً على احتضان الشوق والفقد وغموض المعنى، ليمتد هذا التساؤل من الصفحة إلى الشاشة، متتبعاً كيف لا يزال الخط والسرد يشكلان طريقتنا في معايشة الحب والحزن عبر الأجيال.

This is the second feature in Nacer Khemir's "Desert Trilogy". The story revolves around Hassan, who is studying Arabic calligraphy from a grand master. Coming across a fragment of manuscript, Hassan goes in search of the missing pieces, believing that once he finds them, he will learn the secrets of love. With the help of Zin, a lovers' go-between, he meets the beautiful Aziz, Princess of Samarkand. After encountering wars, a battle between false prophets and an ancient curse, he learns that an entire lifetime would not suffice for him to learn the many dimensions of love.

Nacer Khemir is a Tunisian multidisciplinary artist working across film, painting, sculpture, and writing, celebrated for building bridges between Eastern and Western traditions. Since his 1975 debut, he has directed acclaimed films including "The Wanderers of the Desert" (1984), "The Dove's Lost Necklace" (1991), and "Bab Aziz" (2005), winning honors from Venice to Carthage, and has authored a dozen books exploring myth as a lens on the present and future.

This screening of The Dove's Lost Necklace is presented as part of the public programme accompanying Elegiac Whispers: Lines on Grief, on view at Wonder Cabinet until July 12th. Circulated by A. M. Qattan Foundation, this exhibition brings together lettering artists from across the Arab world who give visual form to verses of modern and contemporary poetry on grief, exploring how Arabic script carries the emotional and philosophical weight of loss.

Nacer Khemir's film resonates closely with these themes, as Hassan's quest is driven by calligraphy itself, a fragment of manuscript that sets him on a search for missing pieces he believes will unlock the secrets of love, and like the artists in Lines on Grief, Khemir treats the Arabic letter not merely as a vessel for language but as a living, searching form, capable of holding longing, loss, and the elusive nature of meaning, extending this inquiry from the page to the screen and tracing how script, line, and story continue to shape the way we process love and grief across generations

ورشة كتابة مفتوحة للجميع، للمبتدئين والكتّاب المتمرسين على حدٍّ سواء، تقودها ماريان تيبو وبيبا جورج. من خلال تمارين كتابية وحوار مفتوح، تدعو الجلسة المشاركين إلى استكشاف طرق التعبير عن لحظة أو ذكرى أو شذرة من الحياة اليومية بالكلمات، باللغة العربية أو الإنجليزية، بصرف النظر عن مستوى التجربة السابقة.

تندرج الورشة ضمن مشروع 'صباحات عديدة' وهو مشروع إبداعي يربط بين أشخاص في فلسطين وفرنسا عبر الكتابة والفن. يضم المشروع إصداراً يجمع نصوصاً قصيرة عن صباح واحد في حياة كلّ مشارك، يُطلق في صيف ٢٠٢٦ إلى جانب معرض جماعي في باريس.

ماريان تيبو فنانة وكاتبة مقيمة في باريس، تعمل في مجالات التجهيز الفني والأداء والطباعة لإيجاد تفاعلات بين اللغة والواقع. منذ عام ٢٠٢٢ تزور فلسطين لقيادة ورش عمل ومحادثات، وأبرز مشاريعها النار الأطول — مشروع دعا المشاركين إلى جمع الطين الطبيعي ونقش كلمات تعبّر عن علاقتهم بالأرض والذاكرة والانتماء، وقد تحقق في دار المجوس في بيت لحم (٢٠٢٤) ومسرح شذايا في جنين (٢٠٢٦).

بيبا جورج رائدة إعلامية فلسطينية ومؤسِّسة منصة نَفَس، المعنية بفن السرد والسرديات الإنسانية والحوار العام والتوثيق الثقافي. يجمع عملها بين صناعة الأفلام الوثائقية والمقابلات والمشاريع التشاركية والبرمجة العامة، بهدف تحويل قصص الحياة اليومية إلى تجارب ثقافية ذات معنى. ومشروعها الأخير وَسْم يستكشف أثر الكلمات المُوصِمة من خلال السرد الوثائقي والانخراط مع الجمهور.

A writing workshop open to all (beginners and established writers alike) led by Marianne Thibault and Biba George. Through prompts and conversation, the session invites participants to explore how to express a moment, a memory, or a fragment of everyday life in words, whether in Arabic or English, and regardless of prior experience.

The workshop is part of Many Mornings, a creative project connecting people in Palestine and France through writing and art. Its publication, gathering short texts about a single morning in someone's life, will launch in Summer 2026 alongside a collective exhibition in Paris.

Marianne Thibault is a Paris-based artist and writer working across installation, performance, and print to create interactions between language and reality. Since 2022, they have been visiting Palestine to lead workshops and talks, most recently through The Longest Fire — a project inviting participants to collect and engrave natural clay with words about land, memory, and belonging, realized at Dar al-Majus in Bethlehem (2024) and Shathaya Theater in Jenin (2026).

Biba George is a Palestinian media entrepreneur and founder of Nafas, a storytelling platform dedicated to human narratives, public dialogue, and cultural documentation. Her work combines documentary filmmaking, interviews, participatory projects, and public programming to transform everyday stories into meaningful cultural experiences. Her recent project, WASM, explores the impact of stigmatizing language through documentary storytelling and public engagement.

About the filmmakers:

Sofia Lambrou is a Greek-Spanish visual and sound artist working between Paris, Bethlehem, and Berlin. A previous artist-in-residence at Wonder Cabinet, her practice weaves photography, moving image, and sound to explore movement constrained by borders, displacement, and memory.

Hussein Mardini is a Cairo-born photographer and filmmaker whose work navigates the space between documentary instinct and cinematic form. His portfolio spans photo and video, fashion and documentary, often in the same breath — from editorial commissions to deeply personal explorations of Egyptian street culture. Committed to building his practice in Cairo, Mardini brings a classical, contemplative eye to the everyday rhythms and movements of the city around him.

Felipe Romero Beltrán is a Colombian artist based in Paris whose socially engaged practice places the body at the center of political experience. His work explores how displacement reshapes identity, gesture, and form — exhibited at institutions including FOAM Amsterdam, Aperture Foundation New York, and La MEP Paris.

هناك انشقاق لا يمكن رؤيته دائمًا، لكن يمكن الشعور به. توتر يسري في جسد الناس، كأنه دافعان يتجاذبان في اتجاهين متعاكسين. أحدهما يدعو إلى احتضان بعضنا البعض، إلى القرب، إلى الرعاية. والآخر يدفع نحو السيطرة، نحو الحماية، نحو النجاة بأي ثمن. وفي مكان ما على طول الطريق، تبدأ الحماية بأن تشبه التقييد. تتحول الرعاية إلى ضغط، ويتحول الخوف إلى فعل، ويصبح الخط الفاصل بينهما ضبابيًا. يصبح الأمر مربكًا، لأن كل ذلك ينبع من المكان نفسه، والتاريخ نفسه، والجروح نفسها. كيف يبدأ شعب يعرف معنى أن يكون محاصرًا في تقييد بعضه بعضًا؟ ليس عن قسوة، بل عن شيء تعلّمناه، شيء استوعبناه، شيء يتكرر دون أن نلاحظه حتى. هذا هو التنافر، بين من نكون لبعضنا البعض وما نفعله ببعضنا البعض، بين الذاكرة والسلوك. ٠-٠ يوجد في تلك المساحة، بلا جهات واضحة وبلا لوم بسيط، حاملًا فقط سؤالًا هادئًا ومقلقًا: ماذا يحدث حين تعيد النجاة تشكيل الطريقة التي نعامل بها أهلنا؟

أسيل قبطي راقصة ومصممة رقص فلسطينية معاصرة، بدأت مسيرتها في الناصرة وتابعت تعليمها في الرقص في برلين قبل دخولها المجال الاحترافي. شاركت في العديد من الإنتاجات محليًا ودوليًا، بالتعاون مع شركات ومسارح ومؤسسات دولية متنوعة. ومنذ عام ٢٠١٩، بدأت بإنتاج أعمالها الخاصة، مطوّرة صوتها كمصممة رقص من خلال مشاريع في فلسطين وعروض في الخارج.

في عام ٢٠٢٠، وخلال إقامتها في ألمانيا، أسّست مهرجان "Platform 14" في برلين، الذي أصبح منصة لعرض الأعمال المعاصرة لمصممي رقص ناشئين. وفي عام ٢٠٢١، عادت إلى فلسطين، وانضمت إلى فرقة شادن، وبدأت بالتدريس وتصميم الرقصات لمدرسة وفرقة الأمل، لتصبح لاحقًا عضوًا في الفرقة وعضوًا في Studio Collective.

في عام ٢٠٢٣، عادت فرقة الأمل للرقص بشكل متجدد، لتقدّم أعمالًا في الرقص المعاصر. تعمل الفرقة بالتزام مستمر من أعضائها على مدار العام، من خلال تدريب مكثّف في الرقص المعاصر والباليه وممارسات أخرى تهدف إلى صقل التقنية وجودة الأداء.

تسعى الفرقة إلى تعريف الجمهور بعالم الرقص بطريقة خام ومبتكرة، وفتح آفاق جديدة من خلال تشكيل هوية الرقص ومكانته داخل المجتمع الفلسطيني.

The performance portrays the contradictions a society lives through, embodying images and scenes from our life and our everyday reality. A society in two scenes, or two faces, if the expression holds true (in its direct sense, without any interpretation). One face is defiant, self-made, unified, close-knit, and loving; the other is conspiratorial, faltering, threatening, harsh, and violent.

Two contradictory images of life and death, of love and hatred, between "I" and "we." And between one and zero.

Synopsis:

There is a split you can't always see, but you can feel it. A tension running through the body of a people, like two impulses pulling in opposite directions. One calls for holding each other, for closeness, for care. The other pushes toward control, toward protection, toward survival at any cost. And somewhere along the way, protection begins to resemble restriction. Care turns into pressure, fear turns into action, and the line between them blurs. It becomes confusing, because it all comes from the same place, the same history, the same wounds. How does a people who know what it means to be confined begin to confine one another? Not out of cruelty, but out of something learned, something absorbed, something repeated without even noticing. This is the dissonance, between who we are to each other and what we do to each other, between memory and behavior. 0–0 exists in that space, with no clear sides and no simple blame, holding only the quiet, uncomfortable question: what happens when survival reshapes the way we treat our own?

Aseel Qupty is a contemporary Palestinian dancer and choreographer who began her journey in Nazareth and continued her dance education in Berlin before entering the professional field. She has performed in numerous productions both locally and internationally, collaborating with various companies, theaters, and international institutions. Since 2019, she has been creating her own work, steadily developing her voice as a choreographer through projects in Palestine and performances abroad.

In 2020, during her time in Germany, she founded the "Platform 14" festival in Berlin, which became a platform for showcasing contemporary works by emerging choreographers. In 2021, she returned to Palestine, joined Shaden Company, and began teaching and choreographing for Al-Amal School and Company, later becoming a member of the company and a member of Studio Collective.

She continues her work as a dancer, choreographer, and teacher.

In 2023, Al Amal Dance Company returned in a renewed form, presenting contemporary dance works. بدأت جلد كورشة حرفية صغيرة في الخليل، متخصصة في صناعة الحقائب والمحافظ الجلدية الفاخرة المصنوعة يدويًا. وبفضل تركيزها على التصميم الخالد، والمواد الأخلاقية، والحرفية الدقيقة، سرعان ما اكتسبت العلامة التجارية شهرة وقاعدة عملاء وفيّة. ومن خلال نموّها المدروس وشراكاتها مع متاجر مختارة، أصبحت جلد اليوم اسمًا عالميًا محترمًا في عالم المنتجات الجلدية اليدوية.
